Avoiding a Warrant for Failure to Do Any Part of Your Orange County DUI Sentence

What is a Failure to Pay Fine or Comply with a Court Order?

If you do not pay your fine or comply with an order of the court (example: failure to obey an order to perform community service) before the date the court gave you, you may be guilty of an additional misdemeanor for failure to comply with a court order, or contempt of court.

You can obtain an extension to pay your fine or comply with a court order. You can also pay your fine in installments.

Most Orange County DUI cases are eligible for installment payments without an appearance before a Judicial Officer. To find more information you may contact Collections, or visit the Collections Office at one of court locations.

Write a letter to: (NOTE: We do not recommended due to time delay)
Centralized Collections
P.O. Box 7460
Newport Beach, CA 92658-7460

Avoid additional fees and legal action, which may include a warrant for your arrest, by taking action before your fine or court order is past due.

Orange County Arrest Warrants for Failure to Comply with a DUI Sentence:

Once you have an arrest warrant, and that can happen in only a few days after missing an installment payment on your fine (due to the Orange County Court’s automatic computer system issuing arrest warrants and mailing arrest notices automatically within 48 hours of a missed payment), you must treat that as an emergency situation, and take care of it immediately, yourself or through an attorney.

With an outstanding warrant in California, you can be arrested anywhere, anytime , including at your work, or at your home.
